In this test, I am using a INE or some troubleshooting workbook which runs 30 or more routers in it.
My macbook air 2013 spec is...
core i5 CPU
11 inch display
256GB SSD
4GB mem
Start the Test
Open up the topology and check the battery. remaining 9 hours and 5 min.
Just start the routers and remaining time goes down to 8 hours and 45 min. Since starting routers use lots of CPU power, it is just the way it is.
After several min after started routers.
After 10 min.
This topology is running OSPF, BGP and more, means it uses a lot of CPU power. Because of these reasons, remaining battery went down to 5 hours and 34 min.
5 hours might be the answer.
Do some works on those routers
After fixing three or four troubles.
30 min passed from start up, remaining battery is 4 hours and 6 min.

If you want to go somewhere like Starbucks and do your work, you would be able to keep studying with macbook air mid 2013 for 4 hours.
I was using macbook air with 50 % of display brightness. If you go down a bit more brightness, remaining battery would go further.
